Cost-Sharing Workshops

Host a Strategic Communications Workshop

Cost-sharing training available now.

Our experts designed a cost-sharing program for organizations that do not have funding nor personnel to support a workshop on their own. With this program, hosts invite partner organizations to participate jointly in one of our strategic communications courses, eliminating the burden of paying the full training fee. As part of this cost-sharing option, the primary host organization will provide the training facility and recruit participants to register for the workshop.

Host FAQ

What workshops or courses are available to choose from?

View our 26 available strategic communications courses in our course catalog.

Who can host a workshop?

Any company or agency that can meet the required number of registrations needed to host a course before the cutoff date.

What is the minimum required number of attendees?

The minimum required number of attendees will be based upon the workshop requested by the host. This can be discussed and clarified during the planning phase.

Why is there a limit to the number of attendees?

Class size is limited to ensure individual participation in learning activities and exercises. All courses, including online courses, are participatory and immersive, and integrate a variety of learning methods such as brief presentations, large group discussions, and small group structured activities with report outs and colleague/trainer feedback.

Where is my event going to take place?

The hosting party is 100% responsible for the cost of providing a venue for the event. This can be discussed during the planning phase. The host training facility should be conveniently located with free parking for attendees.

Who is responsible for food and beverage?

The hosting party is 100% responsible for the cost of providing any food or beverage if they so decide. They may also choose to allow for breaks long enough for attendees to get food in the area. This can be discussed and clarified during the planning phase.

How do we acquire attendees?

The host organization will advertise the program through various means (expect for contracted classes). SummitET will provide an Eventbrite ticket link for dispersal, track attendee signup, and handle all refunds on a case-by-case basis.

The host organization will designate a point of contact to liaise with SummitET staff and field inquiries about the workshop. The host organization’s point of contact will be included in the SummitET marketing for the workshop.

What materials are provided?

SummitET will provide participant workbooks for each class. Occasionally some additional handout materials will be provided to the host organization to copy for each participant prior to the start of the workshop.

Attendee FAQ

What is the registration fee per attendee?

The course fee is $695.00, plus the 2% fee incurred from Eventbrite, and state taxes for the state the event is being held. The full fee must be paid upfront by each attendee at time of registration. If you cannot find your companies registration information on the “Register” page, reach out to your HR department. All registration fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the course.

Does the registration fee include travel and meal expenses?

It does not. Each attendee will be 100% responsible for their own travel expenses, but it does include course materials.

Who is responsible for paying the course fee?

Attendees are 100% responsible for their own registration fees. However, companies may decide to reimburse their employees at their discretion. A company or agency can choose to pay for a course for its entire participant group rather than requiring individual participant fees.

Registrant cancellation Policy

Registrants may request to be withdrawn from any course by emailing strategiccommunications@summitet.com at least one week (7 days) prior to the start of the workshop. While a full refund less applicable fees is offered for cancellations 30 days or more prior to the event date, a partial refund will be possible for cancellations 8 or more days prior to the event date in accordance with the terms of the contract.  Refunds will include the ticket price less the Eventbrite fees (which consists of the payment processing fee 2% and the service fee $0.79 combined), and any other applicable fees as set forth in the contract.

No refunds will be issued for no-shows or cancellations within 7 days of the event.

Postponed or Canelled Events

Summit Exercises and Training LLC makes every attempt to complete all scheduled workshops. However, workshops may be postponed or cancelled because of insufficient paid enrollment, host agency request, or for any unforeseen circumstance, such as weather or illness. A scheduled workshop may also become practicably impossible because of circumstances beyond the reasonable control of SummitET®.  Such circumstances include, without limitation: natural disasters or acts of God; acts of terrorism; civil unrest, labor disputes or stoppages; war; government acts or orders; epidemics, pandemics or outbreak of communicable disease; quarantines; national or regional emergencies; or any other cause, whether similar in kind to the foregoing or otherwise, beyond SummitET’s reasonable control.

If SummitET postpones or cancels a workshop, the student has the option of enrolling in another workshop or is entitled to a full refund for the workshop registration fees. Re-enrollment must be completed within 30 days from date of cancellation or a refund will be issued in accordance with the terms of the contract. SummitET is not responsible for any travel costs or fees incurred by the student for any cancelled or postponed course.
