Description

Summit Exercises and Training LLC SummitET™ is seeking a Senior Foreign Affairs/Policy SME for a position that supports a U.S. government contract in Washington D.C.

This is a full-time position requiring work performed within a federal office building in Washington D.C.

Some remote work from home may be allowed based upon client requirements.


Position Requirements:

  • Experience working with the U.S. interagency and international partner countries on WMD or counterterrorism policy matters.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of international projects involving both bilateral partners and multilateral organizations on topics related to WMD or counterterrorism.
  • Experience in preparing executive level policy briefings and policy position papers.
  • Experience in preparing executive level diplomatic bilateral and preparatory briefs.
  • Experience in providing and supporting recommended policy edits to documents, as well as tracking edits, and maintaining version control of policy documents.
  • Experience developing and delivering oral and written briefs and presentations to Federal interagency executive management.
  • Experience representing the positions and stated interests of a federal government stakeholder in interagency policy meetings, conferences, and other venues as appropriate.
  • Professional level of writing, public speaking, and meeting facilitation.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office particularly PowerPoint and Excel suite of applications.
  • Excellent customer service, leadership, adaptability to new requirements, and strong people skills.

Additional Experience, Training, or Other Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five to ten years' experience working in or supporting the Federal interagency in national policy matters and international affairs
  • A master's degree is required
    • A degree in International Affairs, National Security, Emergency and Disaster Management, Government & Politics, or a cognate discipline is preferred
  • Current "Q" or Top Secret clearance is required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
  • Must possess a U.S. passport
  • Must be able to fly onboard commercial aircraft
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
